A little about me..

As an enthusiastic individual with a deep passion for working with young people, I have a firm belief in the impact that education can have in shaping future generations. My experience growing up in a multicultural home, with a Cuban American mother and a Kuwaiti father, has instilled in me a unique understanding and appreciation for the richness that different cultures bring to the fabric of our society.

I find fulfillment in creativity, helping people, and inspiring others to make a positive impact in their communities. My journey has led me to accumulate knowledge and experience in various areas, driven by my fascination with human behavior, the power of technology, and the influence of culture and society on our perceptions and actions.

Having pursued academic training in computing with a specialization in human-computer interaction, my love for studying and collaborating with people lead me to gravitate towards health-related topics. I have actively engaged in research in technology to support individuals with autism, diabetes, and accessibility needs. More recently, my personal journey into motherhood has fueled my dedication to developing technology that supports community-based maternity health workers and the mothers and infants they care for.

Through my teaching and research activities, I seek to make a positive impact on future generations and deepen my understanding of the world, while my advocacy work fills me with pride and personal fulfillment. I constantly challenge myself to think outside the box and embrace entrepreneurial endeavors that push boundaries and drive positive change. It is my firm belief that educational settings hold immense importance in shaping future generations, and I am committed to leveraging my experience in education leadership to make a lasting impact.

With a unique understanding and appreciation for multiculturalism and the power of multidisciplinary activities, I enjoy bringing diverse perspectives together and fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive.
